Busy Bees Alton Children’s Day Nursery in Alton

Day Nursery Darlington

Located in a large Victorian villa in the Westend of Darlington our nursery is a warm, friendly, and welcoming environment for babies and children from six weeks old until the age of 11. We offer wrap around school provision for both the Federation of Abbey School and Federation of Mowden Schools. We have a large secure outside play space within the secluded grounds of the nursery and a separate woodland area creating the perfect environment for children to learn, explore and play.

Learning through play is FUN!

Learning in the early years is hugely important but it must be FUN! That’s why we place great importance on learning through exploration, sensory play and with our friends. As an Early years provider We follow the Early Years statutory framework to help set standards for children’s learning and development when in our care

Working Together

At Danesmoor we understand the responsibility and privilege it is to care for the most precious thing in your life, your child. We value being your partner in the care, education, and social wellbeing of your child. We pride ourselves on our partnership with parents and carers and use an app called Tapestry as a two-way communication between you and our practitioners.

Healthy eating

Our delicious and healthy meals are all cooked on site from the freshest ingredients we can find. Mealtimes are also fun, where children learn social skills by eating together, sharing together, and helping each other

What our Parents say....

Our children settled very quickly and thrived in their care. The staff are very caring and attentive to our children and go above and beyond to ensure that they are safe, happy, and well stimulated. Communication with parents is excellent and we have enjoyed watching our son progress through the Tapestry App. In addition to Early Years Framework delivery, he has enjoyed well organised celebrations such as for Christmas, a Nativity Play, a beach party with donkey rides and it was a pleasure to attend his recent "graduation" ceremony. We cannot thank Danesmoor enough for the peace of mind that our children have been safe and happy in their care

It was wonderful to hear how well she is doing and wonderful to hear how our little girl is growing up the way we imagined. She is a very happy child and is forever excited to go to breakfast club and after school club (even if she has to get out bed with her eyes closed!!) If my memory serves me right, she started when she was just over a year old. It is so hard to see them go to school and start their little lives with the smallest footsteps. But it is all parents dream for their child to simply be happy

You have all made ** very happy. And she absolutely loves every single one of you, we have been talking about families; uncles, aunts, cousins etc, and it was the loveliest thing trying to explain to her that Lisa , Andrea , Alisha, Alex, Ashley, Hannah, Jade, Sophie and the rest of you lovely bunch were not family
She thinks of you as her family, and that is all we, as parents could ever ask for. For our child to grow up in SAFE and HAPPY surroundings. To you, this isn’t simply a “job” it’s a family, and we consider you ours. She is confident and loved and it shows in her every breath. Danesmoor has been a massive part of our life for so long and it is so sad that ** will be leaving. Both ** and ** have loved their time at Danesmoor and obviously I need to say a massive thank you to all the staff who have cared for them during the last 7 years. I can’t really put in words how grateful I am to have found such a fantastic place as Danesmoor- every staff member is so dedicated and passionate about there work. It has been lovely to see both my children grow up in a fantastic setting.
